The paintings from Cakes on Stage exhibition are all based on miniature models of food arranged in various positions to mimic advertising food photography and images from vintage cookbooks.
The main subject in the paintings was the concept of colour and textures and how those concepts work in order to simulate or evoque certain ideas of taste, flavour or even appetite on images.
